Parker turned one year old today. I don't think he knows that today is his special day. He's acting so low key and napping better than usual. I did get to make a special birthday breakfast just for him this morning. Connor slept in, so I made Parker scrambled eggs and we hung out for a little while--just the two of us. We'll celebrate with cake after dinner tonight, but plan to have his official birthday celebration with our family and friends in Mobile.

Parker is definitely developing a unique personality when compared to Connor. Although he's becoming quite more active (I was afraid I might have another Connor on my hands) he still my little thinker. I find him sitting alone and inspecting his toys all the time. In the picture above, I was trying to take a picture of him checking out Connor's bubble mower. He'll tinker with the toy for 30 minutes if undisturbed.
Unlike his big brother at this age, Parker is not walking yet. He's taken a couple of steps here and there and I found him standing in the middle of the kitchen once (not sure if he just stood up on his own or if he walked). He prefers to crawl or have someone pick him up.
He's got a very sweet, light personality. We can make him laugh with very little effort. Sometimes, I'll just look at him and he'll start cracking up. He loves his big brother and jumps with excitement when he sees him. I'm so lucky to have two boys that love each other so much.
