We had a busy weekend that included a going away party for one of Jimmy's co-workers that is being transferred to an office in Mexico, but Jimmy still managed to squeeze in some fishing time with Connor at the lake. They were so proud of their catch and couldn't wait to show it to me. I, on the other hand, didn't want to get too close to the fish and didn't appear to be quite as excited. Connor loves fishing now. It's all he talks about when Jimmy is around, and mostly what he talks about when he's just with me and Parker. I think we've created a monster.
On another note, I've been trying to get Connor on a new sleeping schedule as to prepare him for Day School that begins September 4th. In the past, he's had a 9 PM bedtime, but we've moved it up to 8 now. The first couple of days were unsuccessful, but then I tweaked the system (no more naps and hard core play) and presto, Connor goes to be at 8 PM with the lights off and door open. Now, he and Parker are both going to bed around the same time and waking up at 7 AM on the dot. Here are a few pictures of them at McDonald's one evening while Jimmy was out of town and when I wanted to ensure that Connor would be exhausted at bedtime.
