The BIG Move

Immediately following our hectic Mardi Gras schedule, we found ourselves trying to squeeze in as much time with our friends and family before we made the BIG move to Del Rio, TX. One month later, I've found myself sitting on the floor in our hotel room and trying to update the blog site while Connor naps in the connecting room. There has been so much going on that I can't possibly fit it all into one post, so I'll just update you on what has been going on with Connor. After all, I know Connor is the real reason you visit our blog.

He's 14 months old now and is really developing quite a personality. He's becoming more and more independent, which has led to frequent temper tantrums. The worst meltdown involved Connor flinging himself onto the ceramic tile in the kitchen and resulted in a bruised and bloody forehead. I've been reassured by our doctor that tantrums like Connor's are normal and that a little more discipline should teach Connor to mind so that I don't lose mine.

I've also noticed that Connor loves to entertain. He's finally tall enough to climb on top of the coffee table, which he loves to do. Once on top, he claps his hands and taps his right foot. As soon as he knows he's got our attention he starts to laugh and throws his hands over his face as if he is embarrassed.

Below, I've posted a few pictures of Connor during his last week in Mobile. The first is a photo of him sitting in a mixing bowl. He was trying to entertain his Uncle Brian--I think it worked. The second is the result of what happens when you let a one year old get out of your sight for more than 2 minutes. In case you are wondering, that's grease from Jimmy's bike on Connor's face (and hands). The final picture is Connor wearing the first outfit I made for him. It was a little small, but at least I can say he actually wore it.

After seeing that top picture, PLEASE don't invite me to anymore functions where we may have to eat. I thought that was a raisen in that last dish you prepared.

That is to funny--if I had to guess, I would say that it must have been my Uncle, Eddie, that posted the previous post about the raisen.
