Things have been a little hectic here lately and I've let Connor's blog slip a little. A week ago this Friday, I found out that there is another little bundle of joy on the way. Okay, okay, relax. It's not me, it's my sister. She and her husband are expecting their fourth baby. They have three girls right now, and I have to admit that we are all rooting for a little boy so that Connor has a playmate at family gatherings.
As for Connor, he's recovering from another cold. He's had so many that I've actually lost count. Despite the night time cold medicine, Connor's symptoms have had him waking at about 2 am every morning this week. We're usually pretty good at getting him back down quickly, but the newest cold has us relying on about two hours of Baby Einstein and another 45 minutes of rocking before we can get him back to bed. By the time he's sleeping again the sun is up and we're exhausted. We're glad he's showing signs of kicking this cold and look forward to getting a better night's rest.
Mardi Gras is in full swing in Mobile and we plan to take Connor to a daytime parade, weather permitting. You see, he's been practicing his Mardi Gras (Boom Boom) dance since he was about 6 months old and it's finally time for him to shine. The dance involves Connor mimicking the typical moves you see from the local high school bands and ends with him getting real low and breaking it down.
