This time it was for Parker. He tripped and fell yesterday morning, and landed on a piece of furniture in the hallway outside his bedroom. His head hit the hinge on a cabinet door and it took a little chunk of skin off his nose. The accident happened at 9:45 (just as we were heading out the door) and we did not get out of the emergency room until after 4. (You've got to love health care on the Texas/Mexico border.) Apparently, it is not easy to stitch the nose, so the doctor used derma bond (the glue stuff) instead.
I had to make a trip to Wal-Mart after we left the ER (Jimmy is stuck in the DC area because of Ike, and has been there since Monday of last week, so I promised the boys I would get them new trains since they were so good at the ER). Anyway, everyone at Wal-Mart kept gasping when they say Parker's nose. I hope it doesn't scar too bad. The poor little guy is a trooper. He has barely touched his nose since the doctor put the glue on it, and he slept 14 hours last night.

Ouch! I've heard that dermabond, the glue stuff, is great.
