Some of you have noticed that our blog has been neglected lately and expressed their concerns about our well being. Thanks to all who have called or e-mailed to make sure we are okay.
This past Easter, my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer again. I was a junior at Southern Miss the last time my Mom was treated for this. Fortunately, she has been diagnosed early and her prognosis looks great. She had surgery to remove the cancer in April and has been undergoing chemo-therapy treatment for a little over six weeks now.
My mom is in such good spirits and has been a very easy patient to care for. She was up and running only a few days after her surgery. She surprised us all when she and my Dad met us all at the park the weekend after her surgery. She's amazing!
As for the boys, they've enjoyed spending lots of time with their cousins: Courtney, Lauren, Lindsey, Amanda, Katie, Emily and Christian. My brother and sister-in-law either really like Connor or are just plain Crazy. They've taken Connor to the "Bay" a couple of times and he loved it! It's all he talks about. He went for a boat ride, played in a canoe, went swimming with Aunt Monica, played with a crab that only had one "snap snap" and saw crawfish for the first time. He's definitely a Californian at heart, he didn't like the crawfish.
Parker is teething like crazy. He's talking a little. He says, "night, night," bye," "uh oh," Mom" and "Da Da." He loves to play outside, especially with the water toys. He's become very independent lately and wants to do everything himself. Mealtimes are very messy now!
Unfortunately, I left my camera in Texas, so I don't have any digital pictures of the boys to post. I'll be sure to upload a few pictures of Connor and Parker as soon as I return home.
