Oh, I Love Sea World

We made another trip to San Antonio for Veteran's Day. We needed to use our Sea World pass before it expired at the end of the year. Plus, we wanted to purchase a big boy car seat for Parker who will be one next week.
I think we realized just how much Connor had grown over the past several months while on this latest trip. We never told him we were going to Sea World, so it surprised us when we he shouted, "Oh, I love Sea World!" as we approached the park entrance. He was reacting to a huge sign with Shamu on it.

We enjoyed the park this time more than the last, although I'm sure Connor wished his cousins could have been with him again. The weather was cooler, but not cold and there weren't many people at the park so we didn't have to wait in long lines or worry about Connor getting lost in the crowd.

Connor's favorite activity was feeding the dolphins and sea lions. He couldn't stop laughing the entire time he was there and kept asking to go back to feed them. We even let Parker get in on the fun, but he didn't seem to like it as much. In fact, the dolphin encounter may have scarred him for life. From that moment on, he has been completely terrified of stuffed and plastic animals, especially if they make a squeaking sound. As soon as he sees one, he immediately begins to shake and screams with terror.

We were a little concerned about taking him to see the Shamu show. But, he was so interested in the little girl behind us that he didn't even notice four killer whales swimming about 10 rows ahead of us. Connor was so interested in the Shamu Show, Believe. He loves music (any kind) and it always has a soothing effect on him. At one point during the show, I thought he might fall asleep, but then Shamu splashed us and Connor started crying. At that point, we headed back to the hotel while dodging stuffed animals in the gift shop located at the exit.
