Story Time

I've been wanting to take Connor to the library for story time, but have had difficulty communicating with the library to find out the schedule. After busting out a little rusty Spanish retained from minoring in it at USM, I was finally able to communicate with the head librarian (crazy, huh). Even crazier, Although she didn't understand me when I spoke English, she responded in English after I started speaking Spanish. That's right, the American was speaking Spanish and the Mexican was speaking English. Anyway, I confirmed the times and date and was finally able to take Connor to his first story time this morning.

Connor was a little apprehensive at first, and stayed close to me while the same Mexican lady I spoke to on the phone was reading. Then, she turned on music and let the kids dance around. Connor loved this part and had most of the moms near him laughing out loud. After music time, the library had arts and crafts for the kids. The kids were all allowed to paint with brushes and rollers all by themselves. They decorated paper fans and painted pictures on paper. Connor loved the craft time and was well behaved.

Connor is in the olive green shirt, standing with three little girls. I enjoyed watching the little girls. They participated far more than the boys and were laughing and giggling the entire time.

The boys are so cute! I'm glad they can entertain each other now. Must give you a little time for other things :)
Kaden has started pulling up on me and kyle lately, not on furniture yet. I'm waiting. Still hates his tummy too.
