I just received a phone call from a lady letting me know that Connor has been accepted for enrollment into their school. I was excited and amazed to have received the call so soon. I just called to inquire about their program yesterday. Plus, I've been told by several mothers here that it is a very hard school to get in to and that you stay on the waiting list for months.
I have to go downtown to fill out the paperwork tomorrow. Connor will start at the First United Methodist Day School on September 4th. I just made a phone call to my Mom to tell her the great news and I got all choked up, so you can be sure that there will be some tears shed on September 4th. But, I think Connor will be fine. I'm looking forward to him getting more interaction with kids his age.
The curriculum is very good too. He'll attend the school two days each week for 3 hours both days. He'll have playground time, chapel, music time, circle time, art, centers and snack every day. During circle time, the children are read a story, sing songs and discuss things pertaining to a theme for the month. Centers involves several play stations where the kids will rotate as a group. They'll rotate on their own when they get a little older.

I cried the first day I dropped Page off at school, and then again when I picked her up because she wouldn't tell me everything had done!
Now I am so thankful for the time she is there!
Geez Calhoun, wish you had some pull at daycares here in H'burg... I'm on 4 waiting lists and all are booked until at least Feb '08! :-)
I'm just thankful we have retired grandparents and other family close who can help us out! I know Connor will have a great time at school - good luck!
Congrats Connor! That's so exciting! Libby starts this fall too! I'm so nervous!!!! I'm sure they'll both love it!
