Connor was invited to a birthday party at a local pool this past weekend. The high was 80 degrees, but the cloud coverage made it feel even cooler. First, I was amazed that Connor wanted to be in the pool despite that fact that he was turning purple. Then, he amazed me even more when he slid down a water slide by himself. Jimmy didn't even have time to situate himself at the bottom of the slide before Connor took the plunge. Fortunately, he was wearing arm floaties so he immediately bounced back to the top of the water. His first expression was shock, but then he started laughing (along with all the other parents who were just as amazed as Jimmy and I were). I would have snapped a picture, but I was not at all prepared for that one.
