Terrible Two's

Connor officially entered the terrible two's today. I was the first one up this morning, so I made Connor his usual breakfast, two eggs and diluted white grape juice. While I was getting ready, Jimmy woke up and made Connor another "special breakfast." It was "special" for three reasons:

1. Jimmy woke up and cooked breakfast
2. Jimmy let Connor drink Sprite with his breakfast
3. Jimmy let Connor drink from a regular "big boy cup" instead of his usual sippy cup

I was shocked to discover that Connor ate the second breakfast with just as much enthusiasm as he had for the first.

Later, I left to pick up Connor's birthday cake from Wal-Mart. I asked the guy at the Wal-Mart bakery to write "Happy Birthday Connor" on the cake, and I even went to the trouble of spelling the name for him. It wasn't until I reached the car that I took a look at it.

The bakery guy had misspelled Connor's name. I did not have time to take it back and have them correct it because Jimmy needed to get to work. Fortunately, Connor is only two and didn't have a clue. He was so excited when he saw me walk in the door. He immediately started screaming, "cake!"

Now, Connor is watching Ice Age, a movie we gave him for his birthday. As for Parker, he did not get to have his first taste of birthday cake, but he is wearing plenty of green icing on his head. Connor kept kissing him after he ate his cake.
