As I mentioned in an earlier post, the day before Connor's 2nd birthday he started to show signs that he was ready to start potty training. I'm so busy taking care of Parker that I wasn't sure how would handle the task of also potty training Connor. I thought the best option would be to purchase a potty that I could leave in the family room (where we spend the majority of our days) so that I could supervise Connor at all times. Plus, the small size potty would allow to get on and off without my assistance. We purchased the Fisher Price "Fun to Learn Potty" because I thought Connor would enjoy all of its accessories. They include a laser beam that prompts the potty to start talking when anything crosses its path, talking toilet paper, a talking flush handle and a open/close lid that also commences the toilet to talk when moved up or down. Needless to say, when it comes to potty training, more is not always best. It was an overload for Connor and he actually started regressing, not to mention I didn't like the fact that the pee guard is removable and Connor keeps taking it off. Believe me, that's the last thing you want to remove when your potty training a boy. So, after just a couple of hours, I took the potty apart and placed it back in its packaging to return to Wal-Mart. Fortunately, Connor never used the bathroom in it. We also purchased the 5-ply underwear. Connor's back on track today. He's wearing his "big boy" underwear and using the "big boy" potty. We've had a couple of accidents, but I'll spare you the details. I'll let you know when I feel that we actually have him potty trained.

I'll make sure to avoid the "Fun to Learn Potty." It does sound a bit overwhelming for a kid.
Good luck and send all your tips our way!
