I guess Connor is trying to prepare me for those days that he'll be borrowing the car and spending more time away from me. He's just started waving "bye bye" all the time. I'm not certain that he knows what it means because I'll be holding him and cuddling him when all of a sudden I'll look down and see his little left hand (yes, he's a south paw) waving "bye bye." Maybe that's his way of telling me enough is enough.
Connor had his second encounter with another baby boy last Friday. He was very curious and excited. He kept creeping up to Casey's car seat (he's only 4 months old and still spends most of his time just lying around--that's what my friend calls the useless stage) and patting him on the head. It's like he's trying to tell him, "Don't worry, soon you will be mobile like me and you can run from all the girls." I'll post pictures of Connor with his friend later. I left my USB cable for the camera in the room where Connor is napping and don't want to wake him up.
I gave Connor a bath last night and accidentally left the cup that I use to rinse his hair in the tub. He grabbed it filled with tub water and took a huge gulp. He looked surprised and then acted as if he were choking. I was completely disgusted and had a little talk with him about why you can't drink tub water. Then I thought, since he's in the tub maybe I should try letting him hold and drink from a cup himself. I poured him a cup of coke and handed it too him. He immediately threw his head back and started drinking. He looked like a natural for the next Animal House movie. He had coke running all over his face and running down his chest. He didn't know what to think about the carbonation. He's eyes started to get watery and he looked at me with amazement. He usually drinks apple juice or milk, but it's safe to say that he's now a big fan of coke.
