Connor survived his first Thanksgiving with both of our families. We picked Jimmy up from the Pensacola airport Wednesday evening, had dinner at Mesquite Charlie's and then headed back to Mobile for a long night and morning of cooking with my older sister. It was a good thing she was there because I had a lot to learn.
Anyway, we finished cooking about 45 minutes before we were supposed to eat at my Aunt's house. We made it there in record-timing (less than 15 minutes late) and enjoyed a delicious spread of food with about 50 family members on my Mother's side.
We rushed to Jimmy's Mother's house about an hour and a half later to have dinner with his family too. By the end of the day, Connor had been stuffed with green beans, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese and cheesecake twice over--but he was still hungry for more before he went to bed that night. It didn't take long for him to figure out that Thanksgiving is mostly about eating.
The following morning we cooked again and had dinner with my Dad's family. The food was every bit as good, but the crowd was a quite a bit smaller. We enjoyed spending time with our families and everyone loved getting in quality time with the newest member.

This is a picture of Connor with his first and second cousins. If you include Shrek, the boys are still outnumbered 8 to 3 in this picture (my brother's three girls are not in this picture).

This is a picture of me with my Grandmother. Would you believe that she has 8 children, 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Doesn't she look great!
