Growing Fast

Connor turned 9 months old this past Tuesday. I took him to the doctor the following day for his well visit and he passed with flying colors. He's now 29" long/tall and weighs 21 lbs (that's one pound less than what he weighed at his previous doctor's appointment). The pediatrician said that we should expect him to slim up quite a bit from here on because he is so active now.

Everyone is predicting that he will be walking within the next couple of weeks. I'm not sure that I'm ready for that. He hasn't been as enthusiastic about walking since I've started making him wear shoes. I guess he's going to be like his Mommy--and walk around barefoot all the time.

Connor's taste buds are maturing too. He's protesting against baby food and demanding more tastier cuisine. He enjoyed his first bowl of chicken and dumplings last week and enjoys a bowl of oatmeal every morning. You can probably all just imagine how excited I'm getting about the thought of eating with Connor. After all, I do like kiddie foods.

Hi Melissa,

You are doing a great job with the web site. Connor is a cute kid & still looks a lot like Jimmy. Please feel free to visit us in our storm damaged home in Slidell anytime. Tell Jimmy we said hello & look forward to seeing him after graduation.
