Hooray for Hollywood

We had a big weekend. We're trying to cram in a ton of sight seeing before we head back to Mobile. To kick off Jimmy's three-day weekend, we loaded up the car and headed to Beverly Hills--Hollywood to be exact. We enjoyed seeing the Hollywood Walk of Fame and visited Grauman's Chinese Theatre. It was really funny. While Jimmy and I were impressed by the signatures of our favorite stars, the Asian tourists seemed to be more in awe with Connor and took turns taking pictures of him. I couldn't understand a single word they spoke, but finally (after several hand gestures), concluded that they were amazed at how much Connor looked like his Daddy. Then, we shopped at the Hollywood and Highland Mall where we were able to take a picture of the HOLLYWOOD sign.

Afterwards, we drove to an area called City Walk. It's a favorite among the locals because it's ideal for just hanging out. It's located just outside Universal Studios and features great entertainment (live bands, comedians, food and games). It's like a Vegas for families.

We spent Saturday in the San Diego area. We took Connor for a swim in the pool and then spent the evening at the mall down the street from our apartment. He went to bed late that evening and slept until 9 AM this morning.

Jimmy and I thought it would be fun to take Connor on his
first trolley ride, so with today being Sunday, we decided to take the trolley to the first Catholic Church in San Diego, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Old Town. After mass, we had lunch at a Mexican restaurant and then visited the various museums in the area.

Now we're back in our apartment. Connor is napping, Jimmy is resting before he heads back to work tonight, and I'm doing a little bit more packing.
